Only People Who Went To An HBCU Will Get This

TSRHBCUuuuuKnow: Students and alumni, finish this sentence. “I’m so glad I went to ________”.

For me, that would be thee illustrious Texas Southern University and if you read this and giggled at the words “thee” and “illustrious”, then go ahead and add that to the list of things only people who went to an HBCU can relate to (issa inside joke).

There’s so much pride and value in historically Black colleges and even though there are about 100 HBCUs, we’re all like one big family. Though we may be in different states, a lot of our experiences are similar, and I’m not talking about that beginning of the semester financial aid line.

I’m talking about all the things that make our schools unique. Ask any HBCU grad and I can guarantee they wouldn’t trade their experience for anything. In honor of National HBCU Week, we decided to list a few things that only people who went to an HBCU will understand. SWIPE to get the feels and shout out the HBCU you’re reppin’ below!
